Meet Angie:
Angie came to the Garage Club about a year ago after her doctor
told her to stop running due to significant back pain. Angie had been
a runner for years and had a goal to complete a half marathon.
As most of my clients, Angie was referred by a friend but was not sure
what to expect. After her assessment, I realized she needed more flexibility,
a stronger core and a slightly more efficient running gait to prevent injury.
We stretched for 15 minutes at the beginning of each workout before doing
any strengthening. She continued our workouts for the three months
and worked hard on her own as well to make quicker progress.
She ran and finished the Tobacco Road Marathon after only six weeks of training.
She now knows the right things to do to accomplish her goals. She went on to complete
her first triathlon this past year and is looking forward to many more.
